Transcript

INT. THE LAST RESORT - FRONT DESK
We find Sophia and Ramona at the desk. It’s a quiet day, RAMONA’s sitting behind the desk, flipping through a magazine.

SOPHIA is sitting on the desk, speaking to Mr. Bones.

SOPHIA:

Hey, Mr. B., I had a question. If living humans are technically immortal in The Vast, would I bleed if I cut my hand with a knife? Or would nothing happen?

Mr. Bones reacts, always happy to help and be informative.

MR. BONES:

Why, that’s an excellent question, Sophia! And the answer is..
(beat)
You know, I’m not actually sure what the answer is.

SOPHIA:

Huh.

She gets up from the desk and walks off.

SOPHIA (CONT'D):

Be right back, Rae. I need to check something.

Mr. Bones follows as well.

MR. BONES:

You know, so do I!

Ramona continues reading her magazine, barely paying attention.

RAMONA:

Mhm.

A beat.
She looks up.

RAMONA (CONT'D):

Wait.
